Organs
- In the GreenLab model, the plant components involved in the plant architecture are leaves,
fruits (flowers), internodes, rings and roots.
They are called Organs.
Organs: plant components (Drawing P. de Reffye, CIRAD)
Leaves, fruits, internodes, wood ring and roots are the tree components used in the GreenLab approach
Organs are made of fresh matter, mainly composed off water and sugars (80% H20 + 15% CHO).
Organs geometry (size, length, diameter, area, etc.) derives from allometric rules, density and the amount of biomass allocated during their growth.
